Leche Asada con su Miel de Palma
I made this dessert for New Year's Eve which is actually a homework for our Spanish subject. Weird huh?
Our Spanish teacher had us choose dessert recipes featured in the site of the Spanish hotel chain called "Parador". And to make sure that we really did it, he told us to take photos of how we made it. It was kinda fun.
Mine tasted so much like lemon! I mean, it was a disaster! All I could taste was lemon! It was like I made lemon-flavored custard! Maybe because I put too much lemon zest in it, I thought I won't put the recipe 'cause even though it ended a disaster, I still don't think that it would taste good even if it didn't end up like what I did. But if you still want to give it a shot, then here's how to do it.
Here's what you need for four servings:
1L milk
1 cinnamon stick
1 whole lemon's zest
8 eggs
200 g sugar
2 tbsp. of palm syrup
How to do it:
Boil the milk with the cinnamon and lemon.
Beat the eggs and sugar in a separate bowl and then add the infused milk whisking at the same time.
Lightly butter a cake tin and spread the lemon zest and pour the mixture in.
Place it in an oven at 160ÂșC for 30 minutes.
Serve on a plate and finish it off with a drizzle of palm syrup.
Here's how mine looked like : )
