Fatal Fare

This story concerns a lone taxi driver making his way along a road during the night. Legend goes that a person will suddenly appear from the night darkness and hail the taxi. The person will only ever sit in the back of the car and will ask to be taken to a place the driver has never heard of. When the driver mentions this, he is assured that he will be given directions. The passenger then feeds the driver increasingly complex directions which leads them down streets and alleys, through many towns and even in some instances all the way from the city to the countryside. After traveling this distance and still seeming no closer to any destination, the driver becomes uneasy. He turns around to the back seat to ask the passenger exactly where they are – but he is suddenly shocked to find that the passenger has vanished. The taxi driver turns back to the steering wheel; only to drive off the edge of a cliff.

Now that's a seductive passenger right there...
It's a recurring urban legend theme that you can find in almost every country in the world.

Aka Manto (Red Cloak)

Aka Manto (Red Cloak) is a spirit which haunts bathrooms, usually the last toilet stall in the women's/girl's bathroom. Some versions describe him as wearing a mask to cover his extremely handsome face, which had caused him stalking problems in life. When the unlucky victim is on the toilet, a mysterious voice will ask them if they want red paper or blue paper. If you answer red paper, you are killed violently and drenched in blood. If you ask for blue, you are strangled or bled dry, leaving your face/skin blue. Attempting to ask for any other color of paper will result in hands appearing (sometimes coming out of the toilet you're sitting on), that will drag you into the fires of hell. In other versions the ghost will simply ask you if you want a red vest and will then rip the skin from your back. He could also ask you if you want a red or blue cloak. The only answer that will spare the person is to refuse anything he offers.

Well, well, looks like we have a charming demon here...

It's... CREAM time!

If you don't know them and you're not a fan of Japanese music then I'm talking about a music group called "CREAM".

The guy there is named Staxx T and the lady right next to him is called Minami and together they form the "CREAM TEAM".. I don't know why they chose that name :) Anyway, their Japanese covers are really good! And I've never heard anything like them before like, good vocals and good revisions and FREE ENTERTAINMENT! Ha ha... So here's some of their covers and original songs.

"Wedding dress"(Korean) originally sung by: Taeyang (aka SOL)

"All I want for Christmas is you" sung by: Mariah Carey

Original song: "Money, Money, Money"

"Whatever" feat. WISE and Tarantula

If you want more of them just check out their youtube channel.

BIG BANG is BACK!

So it's about the Korean hip hop group called "Big Bang" with their 5th mini album titled "Alive"..

Well, it may be too late to post about them and their latest gig but I didn't really have time to update my blog. And yeah, their album was released on the end of February this year.

What's amazing about this album is that it's a very huge success. They've got SUPER songs, they make me crazy and I want more of them! Also, their music videos are AMAZING. They held a cover contest for their songs "Blue" and "Bad Boy" with which the results  I just saw today, if you wanna see it then just check out the video right below:

You won't believe it! THEY'RE A SENSATION OVER THE INTERNET! Haha! I'm so proud of them. If you watch the video, you'll notice how many foreign countries participated in their contest, I mean, they're going international! I hope this goes on and I wish them nothing but the best. Try to watch their videos to see if you'd be amazed as much as I am :)

Chocolate Raspberry jam-filled cupcakes

I super love raspberries, and you know, when something's up on my mind, I JUST GOTTA DO IT : )

So yeah, I went to the grocery and the first place I always go to is their "sweets" section (ahhh.. it's my haven :). And right there... tadaaaaan! I found jars of raspberry jam.. lots and lots of jars of raspberry jam! Can you believe that?! I'm dreaming!! Hahaha, I just became overjoyed because it was the first time they included raspberry jams in their confections aisle : D and right at that moment I decided to kick my chocolate cupcakes up a notch and fill them with raspberry jam.

Too bad I didn't take more photos. I just couldn't wait to eat them!

What I did was I put a first layer of batter (like a fourth of the muffin liner) then a teaspoonful of raspberry jam and then another layer of the batter (I used a basic chocolate cupcake batter for this with cocoa powder added).

Leche Asada con su Miel de Palma

I made this dessert for New Year's Eve which is actually a homework for our Spanish subject. Weird huh?

Our Spanish teacher had us choose dessert recipes featured in the site of the Spanish hotel chain called "Parador". And to make sure that we really did it, he told us to take photos of how we made it. It was kinda fun.

Mine tasted so much like lemon! I mean, it was a disaster! All I could taste was lemon! It was like I made lemon-flavored custard! Maybe because I put too much lemon zest in it, I thought I won't put the recipe 'cause even though it ended a disaster, I still don't think that it would taste good even if it didn't end up like what I did. But if you still want to give it a shot, then here's how to do it.

Here's what you need for four servings:

1L milk
1 cinnamon stick
1 whole lemon's zest
8 eggs
200 g sugar
2 tbsp. of palm syrup

How to do it:

Boil the milk with the cinnamon and lemon.
Beat the eggs and sugar in a separate bowl and then add the infused milk whisking at the same time.
Lightly butter a cake tin and spread the lemon zest and pour the mixture in.
Place it in an oven at 160ÂșC for 30 minutes.
Serve on a plate and finish it off with a drizzle of palm syrup.

Here's how mine looked like : )
